If you came out and publicly stated you would/might vote for Clinton kinda make you Snowflake ish

Trump is an isolationist, which is too similar to Ron Paul for my tastes. Hillary is much more of a hawk than Trump. My primary issue this election cycle was China's aggression in the West Philippine Sea. Only Hillary had expressed any opinion on this and I agreed with her. I'm just happy Evan McMullin entered the race so I could vote for someone I agreed with on more than one issue.

I want the US foreign policy to be one where we are a leader throughout the world. Where we are a world-wide influence in all manner; politically, economically, militarily.

Sadly, Trump seems to be of the opinion that we should just hide in our corner of the world and maybe everybody will just leave us alone. You tell me which one is the snowflake.

What is your opinion on Duterte?

I very much dislike Duterte. I disagree with the idea that the police should get to just kill anybody who uses or sells drugs. However, that is what the people voted for.

I also believe he is way out of his league when it comes to foreign policy. I hope he doesn't do anything stupid when it comes to the West Philippine Sea.

I also have issues with his very anti-American attitude. This was known before the election but not many paid attention to it. He has been a communist since college so that probably has something to do with it.

I also disagree with him allowing Marcos to be buried at Hero's Cemetery, but that was part of the deal he made with the Marcos family. He is starting to seem too similar to Marcos for me to have any faith in him. And I had very little faith to start with.

You don't know much about the Philippines, and especially Duterte and they way he has ran Davao. He targets criminals not only drug dealer/users. Davao is a different area and attitude than the rest of the Philippines, due to his actions. He is not so much anti American, he is anti Obama. He doesn't respect a wimp, now on the other hand I am under the impression he is a big fan of Trump.

Once again, I'm very familiar with Davao and Duterte. We're talking about him as President and he is targeting drug dealers/users.

And he is very anti-American. Go back to when he was denied a visa to the US. Go back to the "treasure hunter" and the explosion in Davao. Go back to his statements on US colonialism. You need to do some research.

I do hope that because he likes Trump that his attitude towards the US will change. That would definitely be good for the Filipino people. It does them no good to be associated with China and Russia instead of the US.

If China / Philippines can resolve the South China Sea issue, then good for them.

I don't see why other countries should interfere.

Like the PI president said Philipines is not a puppet of USA.

By the way, Philippines itself is no angel either, also trying to claim Sabah from Malaysia.

I want the US foreign policy to be one where we are a leader throughout the world. Where we are a world-wide influence in all manner; politically, economically, militarily

I disagree with this. Being a world wide influence in economically, yes but politically or militarily no.

USA style of democracy is not for every country.

Each country and their people should decide what is best for their country.

USA just bring war and chaos - see Iraqi is still a mess.

Stop spending more money on other countries and start investing in USA own people, infrastructure.

While I'm not sure of the "Hillary is a hawk" expression, I would say there is at least enough to think that Trump MAY have an isolationist Presidency. Since he has had no other political office ever we don't have anything to really go off. However, as he wants everyone to remember he was "against" the war in Iraq, he has talked about not wanting to involve ourselves in external affairs. Heck he wants to build a giant wall...that is rather "isolationist" if you ask me. Economically he is also a bit of an isolationist. Definitely more than he is a "globalist".

What if your wife was raped? Would that be a cause for the death penalty?

What about a guy who rapes a little girl, does his prison sentence, then gets out and within six months rapes another person?

Are those examples where you would want to punish the person severly? I would say 60 years in a maximum security prison cell would be worse punishment than execution. After about 10 I would probably look for ways to kill myself.

My problem with execution is I just don't know what population it is supposed to be used for. I don't see it as the "worst punishment", so I don't know where it fits in with my scheme. The really bad people I want to put in a windowless box and throw away the key. Even Hitler if we had caught him I would have never supported executing him. I would have wanted to keep him alive, but just barely, for as long as I can so he can sit in darkness and go crazy.

Capital P would be a great deterrent I'd used properly. Make 100% sure they are guilty then immediately string them up on the courthouse square and leave the bodies for a day or so. Do it while the crime is still fresh on everyone's mind. Give all the other little wanna be a chance to see what happens.

When they sit on death row for 25 years no one even remembers what was done.

Example. Some thug gets caught on camera smoking a cop. He should be hanging inside of 1 month. Invite all his little buddies , heck even broadcast it.

The man in a town near me, Byron ga that just killed 2 Cops and with witnesses and on a camera. That stench peice of caca thug should already be swinging

Why should we spendo good taxpayers money feeding scum , providing medical care etc for 60 years

"pro-life" and "pro death penalty" right after one another never made any sense to me.

And then claim to be christian? I can't imagine that Jesus would have been pro-death penalty. Or maybe he got off on that sort of thing?

It's always a bit odd for Christians to inject what they think Jesus would think on modern day subjects of our time. As a Jewish man of his time, Yeshua would have kept all Biblical laws and regulations, and would have acknowledged standing laws regarding punishment for crimes.

Jesus delivered his people from the law. You could not be more wrong

He came to fulfill/complete/perfect the law, not deliver from or abolish it. Not once did he order his followers to not follow the law, and not once did his Jewish apostles not follow it either (including the converted). Not every Christian will have the same outlook of course, depending on what their pastor tells them, and what translation or historical context they believe. Over a few thousand years people enjoyed screwing things up, taking poetic license, and conforming the masses to believe in a whole host of things contrary to scripture. Christianity of various sects today is nothing like of old, and is certainly not what was intended.
