Hi folks,

My parents attended their IV interview at the Mumbai consulate. The officer approved their visa and gave the visa approved slip. Today my father got a call from the consulate asking only him to come again for fingerprinting to the consulate.

We are confused. Why would they call him again for fingerprinting and that too to the consulate as its a huge inconvenience because they don't live in Mumbai.

P.S: At the time when the visa officer was interviewing them, my father had to re scan his fingers couple of times as they were not being red properly. Could this be the reason ?

because the first scan wasn't good enough, it isn't uncommon for people to be asked back. There is nothing you can do to change it, your father won't be issued his visa until they have a proper scan

Yes, it sounds like they didn;t get a good enough finger print.

Annoying for you, but nothing to worry about.
