Wouldn't it be nice if they could just take our words for it? That's the point of the interview - to convince NVC that there's a relationship by all means. Otherwise they'll leave you twisting in the wind. As far as they are concerned, they are not the one seeking a visa. So we have to do right by them. It's a tough situation but with a dash of luck, you'll be fine.

Well, there reaches a point where you overdo it. Their role should only be to make sure that women meeting men are not abusing the system. Obviously emails displaying time and dedication and photos together from visits, and airline tickets are a lot of evidence.

I visited her twice and wrote twice a week! We stopped calling when her phone broke and I couldn't afford to buy her a new $300 phone. We Skyped for about 1 year, but stopped that, because I was too tired at 2am. No phone records. Nobody needs to decide if we have a relationship or not. We have a relationship it's obvious.

What is obvious is that the CO is not convinced that you have a bona fide relationship and therefore the review.

It is up to you to prove your genuine relationship by any means possible and phone logs are one of many

basic ways to submit such evidence. No skype or phone logs was a bit careless on your part.

Normally a couple wants to see each on skype and not just email.

There are couples who leave skype running for hours, sleeping, eating, cleaning etc....and a once a day short skype

call or phone call would have helped. That is what is obvious.

Well, I know you don't like the answers you're getting but no one here can tell you why they took the passport, apart from to verify all you've (you+her) told them in your application.

I am got married 8 months ago and till date, we've proably been on skype 1,000 times. Over 5000 what's app mesages etc. We didn't do this becuase we want to save a communication log, but if my dearest is far away from me, the only way to keep mind and soul together is through constant communication with each other. I know where he is at every second and we use whatsapp more cus it's cheap and only runs through data. We don't do facebook often but we can always present that info if the CO needs it. I've been waiting for his papers to be completed for 8 months and we are still waiting for interview. I'll be going to visit him in 3 weeks and I plan to take millions of photos. Why? To re-establish a relationship history. Because if he attends interview in Dec or Jan and our records shows we haven't seen each other in 8 months, it raises a "purple" flag.

All these are taken into consideration when determining if two people are married, in the eyes of the CO. There's been too many marriage frauds and I've seen a lot too. Unfortunately one bad egg ruins a crate.

So be patient and keep checking the update online. Pray for success. Let us know how things go.

OP, nobody here on VJ has any idea what decision the Embassy is eventually going to decide on. You've got some good advice and tips here which may indicate a positive decision, but the people who are chiding you for not having the phone logs are doing so most likely because they're just seeing it from the CO's perspective. Don't take it personally. Obviously something triggered this "under review" time and you just need to wait it out...but nobody here has any idea what triggered it or what the outcome will be, they're just trying to help out/give advice based on their own experiences or experiences they've heard about on this forum.

A lot of evidence that people end up providing for these visas is "overkill" for normal couples. I seriously never would've saved receipts from our wedding and other such paper ephemera if I hadn't read here and on various sites that it's a good idea to do so. Overkill by relationship standards yes, but pretty standard protocol for this process.

It's no problem, but everyone has an opinion just like everyone has a certain body anatomy. So I suggest they keep it to themselves, just like that certain body anatomy is not shown in public. Thanks!

My wife is 17 years younger we've been married 7 years on 11-11. Singles day another day you shouldn't get married in China. Have 1-3 year old daughter. I have 3 co workers bring fiance's 41 years difference 24 years and 33 yrs. different. 1 lasted 2 years as the guy was a real Ahole I felt sorry for the girl. Example we asked him if he was picking her up from the airport he said no we we're like OK. Then what are you doing? I told her to take a cab, cause I want her to be delivered like a pizza. We asked him if he was going to get her a car he said no ok, he said I am buying her a bicycle.

The other guy died at 80 something still married they had 2 kids. The other guy still married 41 yrs age different. He was 62 she was 21 (we said the same thing you're thinking)

We had a somewhat similar situation. I was recently divorced, fiance had made error on a previous visa application, and the CO was suspicious. My fiance was in AP for 6 weeks but had his visa issued yesterday. It would help us if you would fill out your timeline.

My fiancé 13 years younger than me, was approved at his interview today in Kiev. The only thing that came up about the age was them asking what our ages were. When he answered this was enough for them and they approved his visa!
