USCIS Approval Deadline Approaching

Hello Folks:

My fiance went to her interview on Nov. 2nd, and was put in Administrative Processing at the Kiev Embassy. They just asked twice why we had no records of phone calls, but she didn't feel the interview went badly. It seemed more like they wanted to check on things. Anyway, as I wait on administrative processing, I notice that the USCIS approval deadline is approaching. It's on Dec 7th. Should I put in a request to extend it, or will the consulate do that on their own (they was a signed affidavit in my package requesting an extension in case that happens. So the question is if I have to physically put in the request for the extension myself or will the embassy out of their kind hearts do it for me?

Great news guys thanks! In college they drilled it into me to never assume, and now that I do that I am told I worry too much, lol

The always applicable "prepare for the worst, hope for the best" comes to mind :yes: If I have my bases covered I find I worry LESS... It's just being prepared. Consider the opposite scenario were true... and you sat on your butt! :jest:

I am sitting on my butt, the admin processing is not a 100% guarantee it will go through. My attitude is it can take from 10 days to a year, and I just have to accept that. Also, if it's meant to be it will work out.
