I don't think you remember Reagan very well if Trump "reminds" you of him. I'm not going to hold my breath for Trump to bring America greatness again, it's already pretty great.

Oh come on Mark you have exhibited in other threads the most "Snowflake" like behavior I have seen in this forum. There was nothing about his post that had any "Snowflake" connotation to it. The term is about people who think they are somehow "special" like each snowflake is special. How does that apply to his post? If you want to insult him (or me) you can come up with something better than "snowflake" when it doesn't even make sense. Should i just call you a raindrop for no reason? Or a candy wrapper? You can't just pick a noun and apply it to someone at random.

As for the video. It was very Presidential and similar to his 100 day plan video. It was a well written script and I applaud him for making these sorts of things. I also have no problem with him saying God Bless. I'm hoping that his actions match up with his words in these sorts of videos. Some of his cabinet picks are quite polarizing, which makes it hard to "Move forward together" as one "united" country. We shall see.

I just don't get how often "snowflake" is thrown around on these forums. People are using it to refer to all manner of things where it just doesn't make sense. The term comes from how every snowflake is "special" and "unique", so it should apply to someone who somehow feels they are "entitled" because they are "special and unique". I get that. There are plenty of people in the world that are "snowflakes" based on that definition. I know it is also used to refer to "generation snowflake" who are prone to being offended, and feel like they need safe spaces (Like theatres). Please explain to me how the post that ready4one made implies any of the definitions for the word?

That doesn't apply here, nor in the vast majority of the places I see the word used. You need to apply it correctly otherwise it loses its bite and it just reflects poorly on the person using the word as opposed to the person the word is directed at.

I didn't realize you were making the association based on past posts from him. I thought you were directing it at what he said in this thread which didn't seem very snowflake to me.

I do think that in fairness snowflake should not just purely = "liberal". There are a lot of different kinds of liberals. They aren't all snowflakes just like not all conservatives are racists or any other derogatory term. The "talking off a ledge" because Trump won is a little snowflaky though. I wasn't happy he won, but I didn't think the world was suddenly going to explode overnight.

If the term Snowflake got you worked up enough to type all that, sadly that is proof positive you are one. It's a catch 22
