Hello everyone i would just like to ask, is it okay that we are not yet officially engaged?but processed already the fiance visa? I already have my interview date next month. My fiance said he will have a surprise for me in Gods will if my visa will be approved and be able to travel to US. He already gave me a promise ring..

The engagement ring wont matter if that is your indication of being officially engage but if both of you have the intention of being married in my personal opinion that is an engagement. The reason why you get a fiancee visa is that you actually have that intention of getting married to begin with. Some couples on K1 get married some don't eventually.

I believe during the interview if you hesitated of being engage it might trigger the CO to think this isn't a bona fide relationship. So either you have to be fully convinced in yourself of this engagement or it would definitely shows during interview. I'll pray for your interview, hope it would be well.

Thank you for your insights. Coz i am a bit worried that we have no proof of engagement to show like pictures of proposal etc...but yeah my f and i have been planning of getting married and settling down since last year and our plan strengthened more when we finally met each other..

I didn't have a ring or pictures of an engagement. It would depend if your country it is custom to have a endgame to party.

If it's not then I wouldn't worry.
