K1 visa approved but administrative processing

Hallo, I attended my k1 visa interview on November 2nd at the Nairobi embassy and was given a green approval slip. I was told to wait for two weeks for the visa to be delivered since they had to verify my police certificate and the CO retained my passport. It has been three weeks now since the interview but no response. Status on the CEAC website reads administrative processing with the last updated date on 2nd November. This is really getting to me. Has anyone ever gone through this process? Please share your experiences,it would help a big deal.
