Proof of ongoing relationship

Hello everyone, my fiance and I met in 2010 on FB we started out as friends then it progressed into a relationship. we knew nothing about a k1 visa and showing proof of our relationship until around 2014, that being said we don't have any phone call proof to send in from 2010-2013 because i used phone cards to call and again we didn't know anything about filing for k1, we also have some lost whatsapp messages from 2013 & 2014.. my question is will that be a problem when I file for the k1 visa? also can someone tell me how much of each year of chats they sent in? how did you send in your phone calls information, how much of it did you send? thanks

It would be nice to show some proof from earlier in the relationship but they really don't care much about anything preceding the two years before now for the initial petition, which is 2014-2016. If you are going to file in 2017, then even 2014 is not that important. So no, it will not be a problem.

Just send a good sampling that shows the progress and nature of the relationship. They are secondary to visit proofs (passport stamps, boarding passes, hotel receipts etc.) anyway.

I personally sent two screenshots of messages (iMessage) per month, for the duration of the relationship with the I-129f just for texts. I am planning to do three screenshots for the time between the petition and interview.

thanks cyanmavi, i have all the other proof such as boarding passes, receipts, passport stamps... I will be sending everything off by the end of November.

I submitted facebook messages from several months before sending in the I-129f as well as proof from visits within the previous 2 years, and one or two pictures from 2012 until present.

We are talking Lagos here, you need to send a lot of relationship proof from varies forms of communication and visits.

If you use skype, what's up, viber email, phone logs, etc. then send pages from each to show ongoing communication

daily, from beginning of how you met (print FB posts and messages) to current.
As mentioned everything from visits plus the kitchen sink.

Lagos likes lots of photos, also with family when you visit.

Write a relationship timeline of how you met, how your relationship grew ,your compatibility and love

for each other. Include lots of photos. Front load all items with your petition and then add more for the interview.

Don't compare your embassy with other countries, apples and oranges !
