Hello JnD7685. It is actually a case to case basis and I cannot answer for those who had their visas processed in the Philippines. In our case, we sent the packet on the 23rd of September and we got an e-mail from the USCIS confirming they received the packet on the 28th of September. That's the NOA1. Along with that e-mail is the receipt number that we used to check the status of our case in the USCIS website. Apart from the e-mailed NOA1, we also got the written NOA1 on the 5th of October. We checked religiously everyday and on the 21st of October, our case has been approved. That's the NOA2. My fiance also got the written NOA2 on the 28th of October. We waited for 10working days and started calling NVC for our Case # but we only got it in Nov 17. Once we got the case #, I kept on checking the status of the case at the CEAC status tracker website, it was At NVC until Nov 19 when it changed to In Transit and finally Ready on the 26th of November. But we were not able to do anything until we received the Packet 3 which we got on the 22nd of December thru email. I then filled out the DS-160 form, scheduled the interview and medical. Medical was last January 7th ans interview on the 25th. So it has been almost 4months from the date of filing until the interview date. Some are still waiting for the NOA2 when they filed a month and a half before us. It really depends, if there is any document lacking on the packet you sent, your case will be under RFE which might delay the case for a month or so depending on how quick you are able to provide what is lacking. It is really a tedious process and requires every bit of patience you and your fiance have. :)

Thank you for your reply. It gave me an insight on the length and process involved. Goodluck on your application ?

that slip in arabic says it is approved 100%. just a matter of paper work, congrats realllllly

Oh really ! thank you ! i just got confused about "CONDITIONAL APPROVAL" why they have to include that word? Do you know Arabic?

By the way you have to wait for the US embassy letter  via email before taking place your interview appointment as they will instruct you what to do on how to make interview etc.

And they required a fresh documents.

Adawee: Oh I thought you are on K1, this post is about K1 that's why I based my answers on the type of visa that we are applying for, I am sorry.

Anyway, if it is Family visa you are applying for, I do not know if a Packet 3 is required. It would be best if you call the number I gave you and listen to the options in there. :) You should be able to talk to a representative. I sent them an email inquiry about the Packet 3 before and it was never answered. That was December 6. A month and 3 days now and they haven't replied to it yet, good thing we already received Packet 3.

Hello Adawee! I can only tell you if it is for K1 Visa but as far as I remember you said you are applying for F3, right? For K1 3 to 4 working days.. and we have an option for which Empost we would like to pick it up. No Delivery. You have to claim it yourself. :)

Mine is 10days from now.. :)
