Yes I will update so y'all have a reference, one thing I did remember this past week was that when his date became current in the filing date column he did receive in the mail the letter saying that could procede and apply so I'm hoping this qualifies as the one year seek to acquire I guess time will tell... does anyone know how long does it take after the final action is current for the process to move and finally get a green card?

So his file is still on the national benefit center supposedly the background check is not finished (even though hi did his finger prints over a year ago!!) once his case is sent to the local office then they will ask for updated medical exams (since they are expired) same with the affidavit of support...

no answer on if he remains or not on F2A I really insisted that we needed to know this because I want to make sure that he ends up being out of status, she said that while the application is pending he can renew his employment authorization as many times as necessary... I need to confirm this since I thought that he could only renew it up to two times (and this is his second already)

she also said that his "age" will be determined by whoever officer gets his case, that sounds CRAZY they should have a standard on what it's going to happen in this cases, she didn't seem to know what she is doing son that's all I got for now

It's ridiculous. And his priority date is current right? Mine will be current in August so I'll do infopass then.

i'm aging out June 21st, it sucks that getting my green card this year or in 5 years depends if the officer that has my case likes me or not....

I know it makes no sense they should have an answer for a simple question is really that simple. She did say something like next year he will have his green card (like meaning there's no need for him to renew his employment authorization) so I asked does that mean he remains F2a and that's when she said I can't answer that for you the officer decides 😒

He was under student visa and when his priority date went current (for filing) and we filed for the adjustment of status he recieved his employment authorization card valid for one year... so I don't know what will happen after that year is up

Hello, you said he filed for adjustment of status with the second chart? My PD is current there too, can I do the same if I am visiting my husband with a B2 Visa? My I-130 was approved and I'm waiting for NVC welcome letter to star the process with them

Does anyone have any news?  I'm in the same situation.  My pd is 04/20/2015 and I'm 21 and 8 months now, but I applied I485 when I was under 21.  Still haven't received any interview letters.

After over 2 months I finally got an answer for my service request.

The status of this service request is:

Recently, you contacted us regarding your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. Our records indicate that your priority date is not yet current. For your priority date to be current, it must be earlier than the Final Action cut-off date listed on the Department of State Visa Bulletin for your preference category. The Visa Bulletin is available on the Department of State website at www.state.gov. Once your priority date is current and an immigrant number becomes available to you, USCIS will resume processing your application.
