No package yet, should I go for an application anyways?

Hello,

It's been a month since the NVC forwarded our case to the US Embassy in Greece but I have not received any additional information or received a package for the next steps. We tried calling the US Embassy in Greece but could not speak to anyone without an Applicant ID. Should I do a DS-160 Application now even though I have not received the package from the US embassy yet?

**Post moved from K1 to Europe. Question is embassy specific.

Do you have your case number from the NVC? If so, email the embassy and use that number on the subject of the email, to grab attention https://athens.usembassy.gov/contact_us_imm.html

We already did that but I'm wondering if I should go for the application or wait for the package, but it's been a month already is it supposed to take that long? :(

Yes, unfortunately, it could take a month or a little longer. I know, it sucks... when you know it's at the NVC it's like you can see the end of the tunnel.

Click on the Greek flag on your profile and read the embassy reviews. People usually add information of that kind and it's super helpful. Again, a month to go from NVC to Embassy is not uncommon. I wouldn't do anything until you are contacted by them unless you already have the Packet 3. The American Embassy in Argentina has the Packet 3 on their website and the person can start working on it before they even contact you, but I looked through the Athen's Embassy page and they don't seem to have it up.

Patience :goofy: You are one step closer.
