I accompanied my fiancé to his K1 visa interview in London on November 17. He was tentatively approved... (They had to verify his account of events regarding his no live trace against ACRO's information on file. Considering the info he had written down came directly from ACRO, we're not worried about that part.)

I checked the status of his visa on the CEAC website the next day, and it had been updated that day, November 18, but the actual status still said "Ready" and the blurb below that still said "ready for interview..." I checked the status again yesterday at which point it was updated again. Then I checked again this morning, and it's been updated again today. But regardless of how many times the "updated" date changes, the status continues to say ready for interview.

The woman who had conducted the interview said that if there was an issue with the ACRO report that he'd either get a phone call or an email, otherwise we can expect the visa within a week or two, even with the thanksgiving holiday coming up. We've received no word from them and like I said we're assuming there's nothing wrong and that things are moving forward... But the actual status hasn't changed. Another couple whose interview was in London on the same day has said that they're seeing the same info: an updated date but a status of "ready for interview"

Has anyone else seen this recently on the CEAC website? In previous posts I've read, it seems like people see updates like ready. Then issued, then AP, then ready and issued again. But this hasn't been the case with us and another couple at all.

Thank you!

Yes, it's very common for the website not to show the accurate update. Don't overthink it because it's going to add unnecessary stress into the equation. Go by what y'all were told at the interview. If two weeks go by and nothing has happened, no phone call, no email, and no passport, contact the embassy.

I agree with above. Ours was updated a few times, but for the 1st week it just said 'Ready'. Then AP for 2 days and then Issued. It's of course stressful, but after just having gone through this, I can say that you can probably rest assured that everything is fine :)

Not sure if it's the same there, but for us, they kept my fiance's passport and we had to track it on the courier's website until we knew it was delivered, which we were able to do once it said 'Issued' on the CEAC website.

Ok, good. And yes, I wasn't panicking or stressing yet. I'm so used to having no clue about what's happening with our case, but was naively under the impression that at this stage we'd be given more accurate info. Ha!

Thank you!

Yes they kept his passport, but from what I understand for the UK, we'll receive an email from the courier when the visa is ready to be delivered, and then we can schedule a drop-off time. (We chose home delivery).

And good to know that you also had the same experience with the updates. Thank you!
