I looked at the requirements and it's a lot. the thing is i am 8hrs away from where I live. All my documents and my husband's are there at my house. my flight to the Philippines is already this Friday. The lady at the Philippine embassy did not mention anything about the report of marriage tho. If she had, i should havehad processed it already when I processed my travel documents. I was just looking at the requirements for renewal when I came across the report of marriage.

Yes you can renew your passport in your single name (make sure to carry a copy of your marriage certificate when traveling). Leaving Friday?

Process takes 6-8 weeks.

Visa chase and citizenship.. DONE!

Thank you for your reply. I am still worried so I might try to get the documents at home and go back to the embassy to report my marriage. I don't wanna be stuck in the Philippines for longer time for not having reported my marriage or not letting me renew my passport without ROM.

I dont't know. We'll see. Thanks

Excellent!! Like said no issue simply renewing... make a trip to DFA when you first arrive, pay the expedite fee, hopefully you will have your new passport quickly.

Filing ROM is fairly easy, but must be done through the consulate that represents the state you were married in... do it when you get back
