What are our plans for Black Friday 2016? (This is Viernes Negro in Spanish.)

1. If it's before BF/VN, what do we have our eyes on?

2. Do we plan to / did we go out on Thanksgiving Day if stores are/were open?

3. If it's after BF/VN, what did we get?

4. Did we get what we planned to get, or did we get something more or different?

5. What was our shopping experience like?

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

1. Was disappointed to learn today that my favorite resale store won't run their "all clothing for $1" like they did last year. Nothing else is in the cards, unless there are some particular small, non-noteworthy items on deep sale somewhere.

I would not do Black Friday to myself, in person

If I find a really good deal on a PS4 or a 3DS with Pokemon Sun/Moon, I might get it, but it would need to be a great deal.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

It's a microcosm of every thing that is wrong with America. It's insanity . Stores should be closed on Thanksgiving and people with their famlies. I refuse to support it.

I am however at store I stood in line with for my wife. Wife wins over principles

Best Buy has a Sonos 1 for $149 wich is $50 off, I would like to get it if I can find it online on Thursday, if not no big deal.

Friday I have zero plans of entering any type of business unless they sell alcohol.

Sonos website on Facebook offered the Play 1 for $149 this week, I was able to get one online.

WCG (World's Cheapest Gringo, my nickname for a visiting VJ buddy) and I went to Sears Hardware this eve.

I got some vacuum cleaner bags for Mrs. T-B.

WCG & I scored mightily on liquid & powdered laundry detergent at more than half-off.

On Viernes Negro, we first plan to hit 3 garage sales and an estate sale.

We shall then go to Harbor Freight, Northern Tool, and Home Depot for needed (not advertised) materials.

Nothing like good "macho" destinations.
