random question...my fiance works for a small business who does in house payroll via direct deposit. I'm wondering if it'll go thru tomorrow instead of Friday. if so...early sales online here I come

I haven't paid attention, but I know in the past my bank has been open on black friday, so I imagine direct deposit would go through on that day. I think some banks are closed though.

Since I do my best to not even leave the house on black friday, I'm probably not the best person to ask.

I can't speak for all companies, but usually when a holiday falls on pay day, that usually delays the check by a day.

Ours usually comes a day earlier when it's a holiday, but I'm not sure they treat black friday as a holiday. Well besides everyone taking the day off. I'm not sure payroll approaches it as a holiday.

Good day to rake some leaves.

Ours are gone. I'm good now until all my neighbors leaves start blowing into my yard.

We get the day off after Thanksgiving as a paid holiday in lieu of Veterans day, so we're closed for the 4 days. If our pay day happened to fall on that Thursday or Friday, we wouldn't actually receive our checks until the following Monday. My check is direct deposited and I have noticed the rare occasion when the money is deposited in my account the day before everyone actually receives their checks.

I've got one last round of raking to do this weekend and I've got to fire up the snowblower and make sure it's all set to go.

Beer hours and shopping hours don't usually overlap for me. If my wife does take me along, my specific job is to carry everything she buys and not mix it up with the things she's just looking at. I do try to stop in for coffee in between trips back to the car.

Used to shop online on amazon but the prices are not that attractive anymore plus need to pay sales tax now.

I usually shop alone on Black Friday early morning.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

the worst ones are when it's about 20%retail but the 'shipping' is about the remaining 80%

i love Amazon by hate having to be home for the package. my neighbors have often head packages stolen.

In Seattle we have Amazon locker at the local Safeway
