Misspelled Last name and interview Dec 9th

My stepson has an interview Dec 9th in Manila

We just noticed a mistake in the spelling of his last name is it the end of the world any chance to correct it or don't say a thing ?

Adiong should be Adoing my fault and an easy mistake

but reading around people with other similar issues like ours .they issued the visa based on their passport and of course, that is spelled correctly

Mother in law had that issue in her passport: birth date and month inverted. Nobody realized it.

-i130 stage ok

-NVC STAGE OK

-Medical went OK

-Fingerprinting was denied due to this a week before interview

Hotel and airfare were paid already. Had to cancel interview, get corrected passport and request new interview date.

Whole process was delayed about three months but its not the end of the world.

You can choose to say nothing but the birth certificate will be compared to the passport and all docs. Better to correct than be denied at consular appointment.

His Passport is correct it's the paperwork I filled out and submitted to NVC has the reversed letters in his last name .

I have seen post's that it shouldn't be an issue since all his legal documents are correct ....I hope
