She probably has her real boyfriend in the US and needed somebody to bring her here. She's probably with him. She probably wouldn't run away unless she had a plan as to where she'd go.

All these efforts putting documents together, money spent on fees, waiting, stress to file docs without mistakes and other related things and this happened. Sorry for this. Karma is a b&tch. She will pay at some point.

I honestly think things like this are far more likely to be trafficking situations than boyfriends. Traffickers need to dupe average Joes instead of using their same circle of friends over and over again. I truly think these women are promised legal status and high paying jobs and are coached into romance scamming some hapless American (no excuse for this one, btw) and when they run off for that really great job. Well. It's not a great job. Exactly how many people have boyfriends who are unable to petition for K1s? I think a lot less than people traffickers want/need for their various clubs/parlors etc.

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

hello,

I have a friend who lives in Hawaii and his fiancee left her. He called the USCIS to reported her. Can she have a loophole to be legally admitted in the US? The wedding is off.

The first thing to do is change all the locks in his house.

Does he needs to make a police report as well to protect himself and that she cannot claim domestic violence or something...

We do not know she is hiding. She just said she is staying with a friend

There is nothing wrong with talking to the polices and making a police report, especially if he feels like he needs to protect himself. You never know what could happen.

she has no path to residency through VAWA

I know personally of a case where the fiancee never married her original k1 fiancee, she ditched him after she realized she couldn't go through with it, marrying someone 30 years older then herself, so she ran away, met and married some other guy whom she only met once she got here.

After that marriage went south, she left her husband, she had no police reports with proof/evidence of abuse, verbal or physical, (I know for a fact she wast abused, she was only neglected emotionally) and she was able to petition through VAWA and that was in 2005. She is still here in the country and has her work permit renewed on a yearly basis. (This may change now with Trump in office) but who knows.

OK, but the point is in order to file VAWA one has to suffer abuse by a USC or LPR spouse. So in this case, the missing fiancée cannot file VAWA based on abuse committed by the petitioner as they never got married.

My friend bought the ex-fiancee a ticket back to Manila but she did not show up at the airport and gave some lame excuse. We advised our friend to never be alone with her and he disconnected her new iPhone.

Oh this poor woman. She gave up everything in her country to come be with the love of her life and he was abusive to her and treated her like a slave. When she wouldn't do what he wanted he turned off her phone and threw her out of the house. Now she had to run to a shelter to hide from him and have a roof over her head. Please give me a green card because I was abused.

Of course this is what she will claim. Good thing they never married so she can't file VAWA.

Report her missing. Change any locks.

Tell him not to even answer the phone if she calls. She's his only path to legal residency.

If she came on K1 , she cannot adjust, however she can meet another

person start a new relationship, cancelled K1 & marry then

after a while & liviing an undocumented life here, but a

new spouse can petition her then she will have to leave the US

for consular processing & a grilling from CO. If he's the saint then

cancel it & move on

Huh?

Meet another person and start a new relationship?

Cancel the K1? It's canceled as soon as she entered at POE.

I don't think that would work.
