Hello, All!

Our case is finally at the NVC and I've paid the AOS1 fee. I called and a nice woman updated my info and said wait about 1 week before paying the second fee. My question is, do I need to send a copy of his birth certificate and fingerprints with the second packet? Unfortunately, I'm a little confused. What are my next steps?

Congratulations on reaching this stage! Did you receive a welcome letter from the NVC? It has a document cover sheet with a list of the items you need to send.

You'll send a copy each of:

1. Your marriage certificate

2. Your husband's birth certificate

3. Bio data page of his passport

4. Police certificate from Ghana and any other country he's lived in for 12 months and above since he turned 16. You'll need to get them translated if they are not in English.

You'll also need to send an original i864, tax transcripts, paystubs and/ letter from your employer ( if necessary) Read the nvc site to know what forms you'll need based on your circumstances.

Wishing you all the best!!

Thank you! Yes, I received a welcome letter, I read it and thought, oh wow, are a lot of these items N/A, is that right? Thanks for the clarity. I definitely don't want to do anything wrong. Again, thanks!
