And the countdown begins.

Just shipped 8 boxes to Illinois today. Half of my moving has been taken care of, all the rest is ready to be stuffed in his car.

I just received a last minute document (I-134 had a mistake) from my fiance that he sent me yesterday, so now i cant breathe about that. All my documents are in order, all I need is to get my 100$ US and to print few pictures from his last visit in February. Everything is ready for the interview.

What else......Going shopping all day tomorrow with a girlfriend from work to change my mind!!! :lol: Nothing like coming back exhausted from a shopping day to have a good night of sleep :thumbs:

Jul 5 - Receipt date for I-130 petition for my over 21 brother and his wife (both in the UK)

Feb 23 - Sent USCIS a message asking for a processing update

May 6 - Received an email response saying things were progressing normally but that waiting times might be longer

Mar 17 - got email, attached to one case number only, saying that my A number was changed relating to the I-130 filing

April really has come on very quickly. It's like being pregnant for 9 months grumbling how you cant wait til to get this thing OUT! The big day arrives and the 1st thought is OMG IM NOT READY!!!

Best of luck!!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Advice. Fill the bathtub and make it very bubbly...put candles around, very relaxing music and wine...or icecream...it's a killer stress reliever :)))

OMG, today was awesome.

Went shopping with one of my coworker......cause my mom ( I live with her since last year because I didnt know when I would get the visa, and she actually works with me in the same lab) she organized a surprise party with all my friends from work!!!

So I got home and there was 20 people there!! Party all night! I was SOOOOO not expecting this because I had focused so much on getting my stuff ready for interview and moving. I had a great time and everybody was so sweet. Got a gift and a card with everyone's signature in it. We had a drink, we danced, we talked, we had fun, many great pictures!

Thats the tough part, saying good bye to people we love. At least there was not too much crying because I see them all on monday for 2 more weeks :)
