Please help: need to get packets 3 & 4 from Accra embassy

Hi everyone please I need some help. I still cannot get the appointment letter to go pick up the packets 3 and 4 for the interview. The NVC said they sent the petition to the embassy Oct 6. I waited till Nov 3rd then I sent an email to IVaccra@state.gov and NIVaccra@state.gov. I never received a response till I sent several more emails yesterday. Finally I received this response from the IVaccra@state.gov today:

This case has been electronically loaded to Accra from the National Visa Center. However, the case has not yet been scheduled for an interview. As soon as it is, consular staff will send a call-in letter to the applicant.

1. What do I do? They've had it for 2 months and they still won't provide me with a letter to come pick up the packets. I'm very worried as I have only 2 months left on the petition.

2. Why did I receive a response from the IV but not the NIV? I thought this was a non-immigrant visa.

K1 is a non immigrant visa however there is the intent to immigrate so, at the embassy K1 visas are processed like immigrant visas.

I suppose we just have to be patient. Our petition was sent Oct 12 and we received the same response via email about 2 weeks ago. I suppose we'll wait till next month before escalating the issue. Hopefully your call in letter (and ours) comes by the end of the month.

The validity of the petition can be extended by the consular, so no worries there.
