My fiancée is currently trying to boost her savings for the affidavit of support, do they really need to see your savings or it will it suffice If the income is above the poverty guideline?

Thanks in advanced

If your petitioner's income is above the poverty line for the household size there is no need to be concerned about assets.

Thank you. I thought they wanted know how much we have in savings. Do you know what documents are needed for the i-134 and how long will it take to get these?

You dont have to worry about amount in savings, JA wants to see proof of income for the current year and last year. Tax transcripts, W-2s, check stubs, and letter from employer verifying income is the evidence they want.
