No it wasn't personal. I was insulting the "anti-snowflake" crowd with their anti-book reading, anti-theater going, anti-intellectual nonsense. Nothing personal. Half of the content of this entire forum are attacks on different groups of people. Everyone here throws around their version of insults to make themselves feel cooler or better than the other person. It's not personal.

Seemed personal to me , but I am a deplorable, what do I know. Please stop talking to me .. I don't like collateral damage

The thing about the "hobbies" was just to point out that essentially all intellectual activities are for snowflakes now? Not sure when that happened, but if so I will gladly be labelled a snowflake so I can continue to read, enjoy music, go to plays, travel the world and work at a job that requires mental thought. If that makes me a snowflake, so be it.

What make you a Snowflake is your attitude. I get a feeling you might think you are better or superior to others, we don't play that game here in Texas. I have traveled the world more than you I have a job that requires mental thought and also physical strength. I don't do plays, Rather I hunt or fish, mostly fish. I would be willing to bet you I have bigger house and have more assets than you any day.

And you do realize of course that calling someone on this forum a 'snowflake', accusing them of feeling superior to others without having any evidence of that fact, and then proceeding to boast about your travel history, your job, your physicality, your ability to hunt, and then finishing that off with your 'wealth' isn't an attack or an attempt to seem superior in your own little special way? It certainly isn't part of having a respectable conversation with someone even if they may disagree with you.

What are you trying to prove? Are you hurt by something? Snowflake much?

It was as personal as calling someone a snowflake.

You do Know that a snowflake is just a feathery ice crystal, typically displaying delicate sixfold symmetry.

But an idiot. Well that is a very derogatory term that used to be in fashion for classifying a certain IQ range based on the Binet-Simon concept of mental age. It fell out of use and was deemed highly inappropriate.

Surely a reasonable person can see the extreme difference in the two. I found you left handily calling the other poster an Idiot, highly offensive. Even a snow flake can be bright, although with poor perceptive abilities.

Can you quote me, I don't recall calling anyone an idiot. Sorry if you interpreted it as such? Are you usually this sensitive?

How about that. Even a far left like Little Steven can see it Steven Van Zandt Calls on 'Hamilton' to Apologize to Mike Pence

Glad to get back on topic.

Again while I don't think it was good manners to call him out, I wouldn't necessarily call it "bullying". I don't think they used intimidation or any threatening language. The audience was a little "mobbish" with their booing, but the cast were just trying to give him a message.

Sorry Donald.

I reject safe spaces, whether they're meant to shield hypersensitive college activists or vice presidents.

I am in sales. I am there to sell. Provide a service. I would never berate a customer if they had a Hillary sticker on their bumper. It is stupid and selfish .They are there to perform the arts, not use their platform to attack someone they disagree with.

Safe spaces no. If they want to tweeter, protest etc fine. Much like the Pro football players being payed to play football using the venue to push their political agenda. Not what they are there for. Dissent is fine, but not when you have a paying guest there to be entertained, its selfish, boorish and un professional. LIL Steven nailed it, and he is as Liberal as they come

I won't resort to insulting you as you did to me. But please, learn to read.

I asked for an example where it came from Obama's mouth. Trump doesn't have a member of his staff suggesting an apology should be made. He is tweeting it himself. He says it himself. It makes him look unprofessional, unpresidential and petty.

Try again. I'm looking for Obama himself saying it.

EDIT:

Sadly even if we DID count the example you gave...Earnest didn't demand an apology at all. He suggested the person was going to make one. He didn't say "That person MUST apologize to the President!"

So not only do you somehow selectively read what you want, even what you do read you don't comprehend. Mind boggling.

This one is actually sad.

Again Obama didn't actually say anything there. The one before that is "fake news".

My point is just that now that Trump is "President-elect" he needs to act Presidential. Posting on twitter that someone "must apologize" is not Presidential. Surrogates for him can say "it would be appropriate" or something, but the imagine of Trump posting on twitter as President is just not something that I think he should want to continue.

The audience booed Pence, as they should, not the cast.

The speech was given at the end of the play.

Offensive? I think not.

Vice-president elect Pence, we welcome you and we truly thank you for joining us at Hamilton: An American Musical. We really do.

We, sir, are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir.

But we truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and work on behalf of all of us. All of us.

We truly thank you for sharing this show this wonderful American story told by a diverse group of men, women of different colors, creeds, and orientations.

As for the theatre being a safe space??? Bwah ha ha. Stay home and watch cable tv.

Trump, the big baby!!!!!
