Well know that we have both houses and Trump in the white house I don't think any of us have to worry about what liberals think. You got one right.

Who is we? I thought you were middle of the road. You seem to be a bit out of alignment. You might want to give those folks over in the MDR a heads up.

It's been a long hard day. You made me laugh. Thanks for that. Despite differences anybody that can make me laugh is ok.

MDR and MDL are not yet public vj domain. Although they are ingeniously clever terms you owe me a royalty

In fairness he does have a point. if you want to claim "middle of the road", you aren't technically part of the "we" that have the white house.

Government I think only has Thursday off. At least the NVC only has Thursday off. I unfortunately have no days off :( (Not government though)

My road is a big wide muddy road.

Yes, when taken in the context of the past 100 years, this particular unfairness pales in comparison.

What does the "However, if this person has tweeted additional content" continue as? Do you know?

I wonder if what is cut off is about repetitive behavior? Like the one on the left is getting their first "warning", and the one on the right has had multiple abuses? Just odd that the next sentence begins with "However" but we don't get to see how it ends.

In fairness though I have also seen situations like that, where grouping "white people" up and insulting them is okay, but grouping "black people" and insulting them is not okay. I think it comes from the history of the two races and the systematic oppression of the one from the other. Yes that time is "over" now, and I'm not saying it's totally fair but it's also not totally crazy either.

Except we've been over voter ID issues before on this forum, and how it doesn't necessarily effect those looking to 'cheat'. It effects the elderly especially, because there is a network of redundant bureaucracy which makes it impossible for many to obtain the correct documentation. And any time you prevent someone from exercising their right to vote, you head down a rather bad slippery slope. Want voter ID to work fairly for all and stop all those supposed 'bad guys' from voting? States need to fix their bureaucratic paperwork issues, nonsense laws, or make a federal ID system (but I seem to remember some people weren't too keen on that either).

So it is anti-elderly? What "ism" is that?

Ok..so you say it discriminates against elderly. I can understand how that could happen. If that is the case, why do many, most, or at least the vocal ones say that voter id is racist?

I guess I shouldn't even ask the question, because the answer is that they need the racial divide in order to thrive.

I am not accusing you of doing this. Your argument has merit.

How does it affect the elderly more than anyone else? Before they were elders, they were like us. Buying things, driving, getting credit... All the things we do now that requires an ID every time we turn around. It's not like you turn 50 or 60 and suddenly your ID is taken away.

This is but a TINY list of things that require a photo ID:

You need one to open a bank account, or to apply for a job to fill that bank account.

You also need an ID to file for unemployment, and to apply for welfare, and Medicaid, and food stamps.

You need a photo ID to apply for Social Security

And to buy a home, and apply for a mortgage, or to rent a home.

You need a photo ID to purchase alcohol or cigarettes.

You need a photo ID to drive a car, you need one to buy a new car, to buy a used car, heck, you even need one to rent a car.

You need a photo ID to get on an airplane, and you need one to get married, and you need one to check into a hotel room for your honeymoon.

You need a photo ID to buy a gun, and to apply for a hunting license and a fishing license, and even to adopt a pet.

You need a photo ID to pick up a prescription, you need one to buy certain kinds of cold medicine, and you need one to donate blood.

You need a photo ID to enter a casino, and you need one to buy lottery tickets.

You need one to buy a video game thats rated M for Mature, and you need one to see a movie rated NC-17.

And for all those things, one typically has to have paid for their photo ID at several points in their life. Why is it suddenly an issue? And if it really is an issue, it can be remedied by providing a free state ID to anyone over say 62 or 65.

I imagine there are plenty of elderly who only needing to pick up prescriptions applies to them in that list.

That being said, not sure how they get their prescriptions.

In our wives home country which is much poorer than here by any standard, you need an ID to vote and that dye your thumb to prevent repeat voting. Yet the voter turn out is higher and no one thinks getting an ID is a burden.

I explained the issue to her and she thought it absurd they would allow someone to vote without an ID
