I also in the same situation.

My mother is outside USA since june 2016, she will back after 3 months.

Will it hamper my F2A petition...?

I think if anyone go back within 10 months then it will be okay..is it true?

****** Post split from thread by another member. Please ask questions about your own case in your own thread *****

Your post is a little confusing; will your mom be gone 3 months or 10 months? 3 months is not a problem; another over 6 months, she will need to prove she did not abandon residency. If she can do that, and be back by the time you plan on immigrating, it should be fine.

She left USA for 10 months because my father (70 years) is ill....Will this affect my petition and will it make difficult for my mom to enter into USA

Someone on LPR can move back into USA if it's not more than 12 months. I've seen this happening with two family friends. Keep in mind; 12 months is a cut off time. If you exceed the cut off time, you may need to kick off the immigration process all over again based on the assumption that the person adondoned reaidency.

Like Penguin_ie stated, this should not be an issue for your immigration unless other issues comes from other areas.

Good luck.

Thank you hellraiser.....

If my mom come back and immediately apply for re-entry permit then will she be able to get it?

If she get it then how much time it takes to get it?

Reentry permits are issued before she leaves the US.

Is she planning on leaving again after she returns to the US?
