Hello guys,

i have a question, i just filed our I-129F and hope everything goes well, so if ever we got approve and everything. when my fiance gets here and we plan to do our civil wedding, is there a chance or way that we can have her mother to come here as a representative for her you know what i mean? i feel bad that we're getting married but she doesn't have any family here. Is there a way that we can send an invitation or something so her mom can obtain a visa to go here or something even if for short period of time?

Also i have a question regarding NOA1? coz i sent my package on 11/14/16, today is the 4th day and still have not get the NOA1 text or email. maybe i'm just freaking out or a lil bit worried.

Thanks for the help.

Her mother would have to apply for a visitor's on her own merit/strong ties to home country. Invitations don't really help

It can take a week to 10 days, sometimes longer for NOA1. Was your check cashed? Did you send the package with tracking?

sorry i kinda don't understand. what do you mean she needs to apply for visitor's on her own merit/strong ties to home country? like she needs tourist visa?

when i went to the store to buy the money order. i paid the $340 cash then they give me the money order check coz that's the only thing that the store gave me.

Yes, she will need a tourist/visitor's visa. My then fiance's mother applied for a tourist visa the same time I applied for his K1. She was approved on her own merits that had nothing to do with us. She was then able to be at our wedding. There is no "representatives' allowance for her to come with your fiance. She has to come with her own visa.

When you mailed your package did you pay for tracking? If so, does it show delivered?

oh okay, i thought about that but i was just thinking about the process of our K-1. We don't know if we're getting RFE or not, well i hope we don't get one. What if she applied then got approved but our K-1 is still on process. you know what i mean?

Yes when i mailed my package USPS gave me a tracking # and i checked yesterday it says delivered but into different zipcode it was delivered to 75260 and as i read some post here 75260 and 75266 are in the same area or city.

Don't worry, the visa is good for up to 10 years, so even if your case takes longer, she will be able to come. Make sure that she can show that she is paying for her trip expenses. If they find out that somebody else is paying for it, she will probably get denied.

Did you include the form with your I-129F that ask for you email address and cell number to give you updates on your case by USCIS?

If not then you should just get the paper NOA after 10 days or so.

The tourist visa only allows you to be in the USA for a max of 6 months at a time (sometimes less, especially on a first visit). But most visas issued are ten year multi entry, so she can use it for the wedding and then perhaps to come on vacation a time or see any grandkids that happen.

Don;t worry about not getting NOA 1 until it has been at least two weeks since you sent it, perhaps a little more with Thanksgiving in there.

OP stated he didn't receive a text or email yet so I assume that means he sent the G1145

A tourist visa can be a multi-entry 10 year visa. The recipient can stay for up to 3 months at a time. At least that's what my MIL's is.

Please stop over thinking things you just now sent off the paperwork so stop worrying. Also your France's mom will have to get a tourist visa in her own right and a invitation letter will not help at all.

Depends on what her mom does and her assets will depend on either she gets approved or not because the Philippines is a very hard country to get a tourist visa because it is a high fraud country.

As a backup plan for her to have 'representatives' at the wedding start looking around for video people who might have knowledge and skills video conferencing. If you found the right people if should be possible to do the whole wedding with a live two way video feed. You might need to have your fiance in the Philippines start considering renting out an internet cafe or similar in the Philippines to make it work well. We toyed with that idea and found that some of the places in Vegas might be able to set up something like that. - Good Luck. As others have said a tourist visa may be difficult depending on rather your future mother-in-law has very compelling reasons to return to the Philippines after the wedding. Proving such ties or being allowed even to explain such ties could be difficult.
