HIll start by talking about the people in what is called the Mainstream Media, or as the Alternative Internet Media (AltMedia) call them, the MSM. The No. 1 villain here is the NBC family of Democratic Party organs, whose campaign reporting was very diligent in avoiding the wealth of bad news about Hillary that came from the WikiLeaks hacked emails and using any and all droplets of negative information against Donald Trump. Objectivity? Nah. The news industry apparently saw a greater good in stopping Trump.

Polling organizations also did a terrible job. As I and my readers have learned from my years of investigations of the Census Bureau, most Americans dont like answering questions when nosy opinion takers come calling. That was one strike against the pollsters, who called this election so inaccurately. The poll takers Strike 2 was that they assumed Democratic voters would come out in much larger numbers to vote than they did. Why would they have? Bernie Sanders, who fought Hillary in the primaries, made her look bad. So it was clear that lots of Democrats had no loyalty to Hillary. The polling organizations also skewed their surveys to include too many Democrats and not enough Republicans and Independents. So its not surprising that the polls predicted Hillary would be an easy winner. Ironically, that caused many Democrats, who werent enthused by their partys choice in the first place, to stay home on Election Day.

Plenty of recent immigrants would rather not have more immigrants come to the US. When my grandfather arrived in America from Italy in the early 20th century, he got a job with the New York City Sanitation Department. And if you asked Grandpa Crudele if he would like a lot of new immigrants to come to the country, Im sure he would have said No. He would have been worried about them taking his job. Todays workers arent any different. Nobody I know wants dangerous immigrants. Dont get me wrong, legal immigration is important (and Ive written a full column on this) and will turn out to be one of the cures for the current economic malaise. But until there are enough jobs to go around, even legal immigrants are not going to be welcomed with open arms by their own countrymen.

People in Philadelphia, St. Petersburg, Fla., and several other cities were probably thrilled to be treated to free mini-concerts by Jon Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen and Jay Z but it wasnt entirely a good thing. Hey, free concerts are great! I probably would have gone myself. But think of the deeper message it gave to voters about Hillary, who arranged these musical extravaganzas. It told voters that Hillary was special and not only can hang out with people like that but also can get them to come to her rescue. In a campaign whereby voters were rebelling against the establishment, pissed at people with privilege and power and feeling annoyed that the economy has left them behind, was it really smart for Hillary to parade around her fancy music industry and Hollywood friends? I dont think so.

Hillarys own emails never came out during the last weeks of the campaign, as I expected but that doesnt mean they dont exist, despite the fact that she tried to erase them. As Ive said, the National Security Agency was hacking the Russians when the Russians were hacking Hillarys computer server. And the NSA, as I explained earlier, has already offered Hillarys emails to the FBI. All Trumps FBI has to do is ask, and the NSA will deliver all of Hillarys secrets.

James Comey, the soon-to-be-replaced FBI director, now has no fans among either the Democrats or the Republicans. And the way I hear it, Comey is set to snag a big, low-profile job with a Wall Street bank. Consumer banks like Citigroup should think twice about hiring a guy wholl bring them nothing but bad vibes with customers of all political persuasions.

Everybody knows that the boat is leaking

Everybody knows that the captain lied

Everybody got this broken feeling

Like their father or their dog just died

Everybody talking to their pockets

Everybody wants a box of chocolates

And a long-stem rose

Everybody knows

Sometimes I'm interviewed by newspapers, and they ask me the meaning of my songs. And if the interviewers are French, they ask the meaning of meaning. This is my platform

I try my best not to take sides, but I have to agree. The "winners" on this forum seem very butthurt, considering they are the "winners".

I just have one of those feelings that it's not going to end well, even for conservatives. Maybe there is a Pyrrhic quality to all this.

I only quickly perused the list of points, but I don't really see anything that leads you to say that the winners here are butt hurt? Some here (MDR to MOTR folks) are ecstatic that Trump won, and some are waiting to see how good he can make on his promises. Others here (MDL to almost close to MOTR folks) think the world is coming to an end, and some are hopeful, if not very convinced, Trump will do a good job for America.

Again, I will say it as I did before... We are all on the same plane. Or boat, if you prefer not to fly. Either way, hoping the Captain fails is not a very smart way to think, IMHO.

As long as we're talking about anger, I've never seen such a bunch of angry winners as you guys. I think deep down, you must know the house is made of cards.

Actually, I said they're angry. I don't think the overall tone of the posts have changed. They were angry before and they still are. The election was a little like winning a free bag of poop. Once you get past the moment, what have you got?

It may be my skewed perspective because I only came on here after the election since I have been frequenting this website for immigration purposes and then thought that maybe there was a discussion going on about Trump since a large part of his campaign was about immigrants.

I think what perhaps I don't see are the number of posts from "liberals" that were boasting and/or "egging on" people on the left. If they did exist before, they have understandly stopped since the liberals "lost".

So now all I see are a bunch of posts made with links to articles, or to youtube videos that are essentially just insulting to a group of people that just lost the election.

Yes you could call that "gloating", but as an "outsider" it seems a little bit more "sore" to me. I've used the term childish in other threads and maybe that is better than "butthurt". It's just the number of new threads where the sole topic of the thread is "look how horrible/funny/aggressive/bad liberals are! Discuss!" compared to the opposite is very telling.

Like I said though it may just be because I didn't see it pre-election.
