I got to the USA on 16th Nov in k1/k2 visa and POE was in Philadelphia . Took almost 1 hour but the officers didnt ask for 2x2 " pics and my photocopy of birth certificate as i have heard from the other reviews we need it at the poe. is it normal? how you guys did , plz tell me what happened at ur poe. i m kinda little worried too. may be the officer was new or something coz he asked me if i have another form with my pic on it (showing me one form of immigrant visa holder's form who was before me in the line) and said there is not that form in my packet. i said i have never seen that kinda form and i have it. and he again looked at my passport and photocopy of my and my son's passport and stamped it, typed something in his computer and written my expiry date of k1 visa and k2 visa , showed me the status of our visa and said "WELCOME".

i was very happy but i was expecting he would ask for my birth certificate and 2x2" pic which he didnt. i didnt want him to feel like am trying to teach him how to do his work correctly but i wanted to make sure i wouldnt miss any paperwork at poe so i asked him "dont you need my birth certificate and my pics" then said it is already in the packet. i was so confused. but i couldnt say anything and leave the poe and took my connecting flight

I was not aware that photos were needed at POE. Is this something that they tell you in your visa package when you receive it?

The only thing CBP will ask you at POE, documentation wise, is the sealed envelope. I don't know who told you that you'd be asked for your birth certificate and photos, but you have been misinformed.

There is nothing else you need to do now, other than get married and file for AOS

Thank you very much for the info. Really appreciate. Was kinda worried. It was friend of mine who came to the US in k1 visa a couple of months before told me needed photo and BC in poe.

We are going to do court house marriage. Dont know anything abt it. Going to court this monday to see how it works. I have my son and i want him to go school as soon as possible and i dont think it possible to go school before our wedding and Aos, right?

Plz tell me how can we do court marriage and what papers do we need? How can we file aos? Pls send me the link abt AOS if u know. I m confused that first i get my social security no. Or we ve to file for the aos?

They dont need anything besides the package and passport with visa

Ok thanks :)
