If you adding production in Mexico instead of adding in the USA ..the rest is easy

But show me evidence that they are now increasing net production in the US? They said they aren't going to move manufacturing of the Lincoln car to Mexico...so that means they will keep Ford escape production lower at this plant. I don't see anything that says it is going up. They are just not redistributing the production.

Do you have any other reason why Apple is all of a sudden after 20 years looking at opening a factory in the US? If you do I'm open to looking into it. It is likely because they realize it is going to cost them under Trump's policies to keep all their factories in China. Expect more corporations to make similar moves. These are businesses that are in existence to make a profit. It's all about the bottom line. The writing is on the wall. It is going to cost you to produce overseas versus in the US. By the way a Ford spokesman said their changes are because of Trump's pending policies and they are glad they can do more business in the US now. The article posted by the OP is neolib nonsense.

I follow IT business closely, Apple has been looking at on shoring options for several years.

unless...you want to sell cars in Canada and Mexico and want to keep the higher value production closer to home. But hey, Trump is a business man and has all this auto production stuff down

I bet they are now really looking into it and not just talking about it.  Trump is going to be a game changer for the economy and the US workers.

I am sure the game will change, when its all done we may regret paying
