Who can translate my birth certificate for AOS purposes?

Hello everyone.

The title is self explanatory. Does the USCIS accept a translation made by the beneficiary? My native language is portuguese and I'm fluent in english, so I was thinking of doing it myself. But I read in some websites that the petitioner/beneficiary cannot translate the document. The USCIS website is not clear on this subject. What do you people think?

You can do it. Just add the certification statement as it appears on uscis website

People on here have had no problems translating their own documents. Just follow the guide on the USCIS website for the translation certificate page. Good luck!

DHL tracking information received: 22-February-2017     DHL tracking number appeared 28 hours after interview, scheduled for delivery the next day
Visa in hand: 23-Feb-2017
