green card past due - travel

my wife entered the US in aug 2016 after 130 was approved , paid the elis fees and still we don't have the physical card
the status says the card is bein produced for the past 60 days

a service ticket was generated coz it was well passed the due date

yesterday i got this reply

" A request has been made to produce your Permanent Resident Card with the available biometrics. If we are unable to produce your card with the available biometrics, a request will be made to schedule a biometrics appointment. You should receive either your Permanent Resident Card or a biometrics appointment notice within the next 90 days. If you do not receive any correspondence within the next 90 days, please contact customer service. "

so i need to wait another 90 days now ?

also my wife need to travel to canada , can se with the stamp on the passport ?

what visa did she enter with and what stamp are you referring to. if it was a cr1/ir1 then the stamp should act as her green card for a year. if you are in doubt ask cbp before you leave the us to verify you have the correct documents.

but can someone clarify if she is able to visit canada with the stamp on her passport ?
while entering the CBP officer specifically said that you will have to wait for the green card to travel to another country

To clarify, the stamp in of itself is nothing more than a standard entry stamp, it is not a special I-551 stamp. The entry stamp endorses the visa allowing it to act as a temporary green card until the actual one arrives.

If your wife is a Canadian Citizen, she will have no issues entering Canada using a Canadian passport. Upon return to the US, CBP officers are trained to recognize a temporary green card (visa/entry stamp combo).
