look like border collies... darn fine dogs to have around. My Mom has one that is border collie/shepard mix and that dog is so kind. Border collies are well known to stay in their territy (yard) and will let you know if intruders approach. They also keep watch over children like they would sheep.

If I were to have a dog and kids... border collie for sure!

border collie for sure....wonderful smart dogs, but they hate being cooped up in houses...they like the outdoor and they like herding things ....you can replace sheep with people (they like kids) but they won't loose the instinct to work hard.

You are right about that. They definitely need a job. If you don't give them one they will find one. The one I had used to herd the kids... lol. He would also herd my other two dogs. He would herd the big hound mix into the doghouse and then he would herd my pitbull puppy into a freshly dug hole and then stand over her "laughing" as she squirmed and struggled on her back in the hole!

Yes they are border collies. My parents have two of them.. A couple of clowns and very good.

they used you as their toy :)) always outside but if you go near the back door and they see you they look at you and wag their tail and Bonnie runs and gets the tennis ball and comes right to the door :P looks at you.

They are good they bring the ball back to you and put in your lap or at your feet, you dont have to go get it and if they dont do it right.. you call their name :) and they try it again

They are tag team.. When I toss the ball fall bonnie gets it and half way she drops it and then Strom takes over and brings it back :)

Take care

I miss them two dogs.

Border collies are really great with small childern. I even read storys about little kids in the front yard and the child wonders off.. the border collies take off and heard them away from the street and away from danger. :D

good dogs

post-12145-1142657258_thumb.jpgWe have a Border Collie mix too, he looks like yours but a different mix. Ours has longer hair. He is N-U-T-S!!! Funny as hell, but if he wasn't so damn cute, he wouldn't have seen 6 months! He is over a year old now and still chewing stuff.....Always seems to be my stuff too! Really, I'm still waiting to see his intelligence, the poor thing is goofy!

Hope the picture posts. It's an old one, but you can see what I mean when I say cute!!

Aww thanks all... she is unbelievably cute and well behaved. The other day I took her out to the pasture, and she ran with me and when I stopped she stopped and laid right down next to me every time, without me even telling her ! She stayed by my side the whole time.

Unlike Custard (the golden lab) who just took off at everything she saw lol... she just needs a little more work thats all ! :D

awww Ceresa,

Sorry to hear that the puppies were not homeless and now you had to return them to their owners. I would try and get yourself a puppy or go to an animal shelter and adopt a nice doggie. Hugs

While I'm sorry you had to lose the puppies, I'm very glad that they went back 'home'! If you loved them that much you'll have to go to the shelter and adopt yourself a puppy of your own :)
