Hi guys

Well. I have a few questions/doubts regarding the procedure and I'd like to know your advice/opinion

First of all, I've read in the suggestions that only put the First Last Name in "Surname" for all the forms, but my visa holds both last names (hispanics have a father and a mother last name) so I was wondering if we should fill it in the same way that my B1/B2 visa appears. Suggestions?

Also, my fiancé started his new Job in September, he will be 3 months there next December, he had a part job for the past 2 years and since it wasn't enough for the income requirement he changed job and finally meet the reqs, but I'm wondering if we will have a problem in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico consulate, we plan to present a letter from his current employment and any other evidence to prove that his current income will be enough. Suggestions/Advices?

Do I need to send my birth certificate to him? If so, do I need to translate it?.. I remember to see it was required somewhere and now I can't seem to find it.

Hi there,

We processed thru CDJ as well and in reference to the Name, you should list your name as it really is - that means including both last names since that's how your name was officially recorded on the birth certificate and that's how it shows on the Tourist visa, etc.

As long as he meets the income requirements now and at the time your case is reviewed, he should be fine. And yes, do plan on obtaining an employer letter. Try to meet the 125% poverty line for AOS since they'll probably be looking at that too, although it is up to the discretion of the consular officer.

I don't recall the beneficiary birth certificate needed in the initial I-129F submission but you will indeed need it at the consular interview. Later down the line though, you will need it translated for the AOS process.

For documents that are in Spanish, they don't need to be translated for the K1 part of the process correct. I think I read somewhere that documents written in English and the native tongue of the Country the Interview is happening in do not need translations. But for instance, my boyfriend is Swedish, and if his police report and birth certificate were in Swedish, those would need translations only. Is that correct?

Hi! Correct, for the CDJ consulate the docs don't need to be translated. They do need to be translated if you are submitting with the initial petition that goes to USCIS beforehand. For example, to establish you are "free to marry", you would submit a divorce certificate with your initial petition that although at CDJ would not need to be translated, you would have had to send it in to USCIS first with an english translation.
