Just like the uk leave campaign, Trumps team did not believe they had won. Yes they tapped into a certain stream of disenfranchised citizens and it will all be analysed to death but the long and short of it they were losing. Of course you put on a confident front in the face of defeat (again just like leave campaign.

The similarities with U.K. Don't end there... you now have approx 50 % of the country against the decision made so how Trump is going to unite everyone (if he even bothers to try that is) is anyone's guess. It is a tough environment and uk is still smarting at the decision they took.

Ps Internet and lies go hand in hand in this day and age. Gone are the days of well informed electorates as there is so much bias and untruths sold to the masses. How do you sift through the lies, almost impossible.

2 or 3 elections from now we will end up with texting your votes in on results night! (Well it will turn into a popularity contest for sure). This year the winner didn't have to lay out any discernible policies.
