The father of an NFL player was shot dead in Oklahoma City at Will Rogers World Airport this afternoon and police say the gunman has been found dead.

Michael Winchester, 52, who was an employee with Southwest Airlines, died from his injuries suffered in the shooting that took place at 12:50pm, Oklahoma City Police Capt. Paco Balderrama said.

He is the father to Kansas City Chiefs' player James Winchester who is currently a long snapper on the NFL team and used to be a former punter for the University of Oklahoma.

The suspect's body was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the back of a pickup truck that was parked inside of a parking garage at the airport, KFOR reported.

Police are not releasing any details about the suspect to the public and have not positively identified him or her yet. A motive for the shooting has not been released either.
