Hi,

currently I am studying business mathematics for Bachelors degree in the 7th semester at a German university.

I want to study for Masters in Finance (taught in English) at a German university soon but at the moment my English is not good enough for it.

Therefore I want to study abroad for one semester and after that make an internship at the same destination.

My preferred destination is Hawaii. I already got accepted at a university. They sent me files for the F1 Visum which is only for the semester I am studying there. So I thought about getting a J1 Visum after the studies to make the internship at a company (financial sector preferred) possible. A advisor of the university told me he thinks it won't work out like this but he couldn't tell me more about it..

Can somebody tell me more about it and advice me on how to make my plans come true?

Again my plan briefly explained: Study for one semester in hawaii. Afterwards make in internship there (e.g. in a bank) for some months. Go back home.

Sincerely,

Kai
