Where did you apply? [Edit] Nevermind, I looked at your timeline *sheepish*

I wouldn't be too concerned. You have proof that the recieved the file, you've got your EAD and all that stuff. When I was filing, it took me a good 7 months. If you are genuinely concerned, why not make an Infopass appointment and just see? If you've got a case number then you know its got to be somewhere :)

Have you tried giving USCIS a call? instead of just checking the website, maybe they may have some more information, worth a try, if they don't give you much feed back, at least you tried.

It took us nearly 5 months to receive his green card. Ours was Chicago too.

Depends on how many they are processing right now.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Hi there! In our case we totally been waited for 7 months and now our greencard was on our way as I recieved a letter from USCIS yesterday telling us that they ordered our greencard and we just need to wait within 30 days. But i'm just wondering what does the immigration officer told you when he/she during your interview 4months ago as i assumed. Cause in our cased during our interviewed the immigration officer told us that day that our application has been approved and all we need to do is just to wait after 2 weeks for our greencard, but 2 weeks gone by since our interview still no GC on our mail. We made phone calls to USCIS customer service but no used. Then me & my husband decided to wait till 6 months gone by we finally decided to make a INFOPASS which was last march 15. What happened on our infopass was that the immigration officer whom we talked to told us that they made a mistakes on their computer the reason why our GC has been help up. And she asked an apology for that and she stamped my passport for a temporary GC which is valid for 3 months. I told her that we signed up for electronic updates which telling us that our case was still in National Service Center in Missouri and still on processed which confused us but she told us that after two weeks from our interviewed day or a month or so after our interviewed we can make an infopass already to check what happened which we didn't do, but we never did that because we rely online and calling the USCIS and same thing they answered to us "all we need is to wait". which is really a struggled. But we just thank that during our info pass everything turned out ok and now I recieved already the welcome letter and just waiting for GC which hopefully next week will be on my mail.

Actually the bottom line why I shared my experienced with you hoping that it might help you and we might have they same experience during the interviewed. If during your interviewed the immigration officer told you that your application has been approved already and you just need to wait 2 weeks after but then 4months pass by nothing happened then I think its good thing to try the infopass and find out whats the reason why your application has been held up. Cause they might made a mistake on there computer the reason why your application has been held up. So Goodluck and God Bless.
