Hello VJ members,

We are in a process of filling AOS. I had medical examination in Sweden couple of months ago but to fill AOS USCI asked us to have I-693 form as well from USCI approved Dr.

Do we need to have it? Also, I would like to how much would it cost to do that?Anyone can guide me any cheaper alternative?

How much did it cost for you I mean I-693?

I paid $175 for completion of the form, syphilis test, varicella test and the Quantiferon tb gold test. I did mine in Brooklyn, NY.

There is also another Civil Surgeon office located on Avenue P, Brooklyn that runs a uscis medical mill and charges $125. The nurses are rude and do not know much. They do the medicals themselves and have the doctor sign it. Thats all the doctor does- sign the paper. At that office you don't see the doctor at all, you only interact with the nurses. I asked to see the doc as I was still breastfeeding and wasnt sure about tb skin test but was told I would have to pay another set of money to see the doctor personally. I left and went to another doctor that was informed and knowledgeable and charged me $175. I have since thought of reporting the Civil Surgeon on Avenue P to USCIS.

Anywho, I hope you'll find one that is not too expensive.
