US Consulate in Algeria scheduled us the wrong interview date for K1

My fiancé went to Algiers today for our scheduled interview for fiancé visa. We scheduled the interview through the country portal and was sent conformation just like normal K1. Once he got through all the levels he is called to pay the fee and the person told him he was sorry but they do not do interviews for fiancé visas on Tuesdays. I emailed the consulate in hopes of a response and tried to go online and see if we can reschedule. It says the next available date is 12/14/16 but once I get to the end it says no appointments available. The consulate is 7+ hours away from my fiancés home.

My question is for anyone...

What happens now to our file?

Will his medical he had completed on 11/10/16 expire?

Should I just keep trying to schedule another appointment or take the chance and wait to hear back from them?

We are stressing at this point. Thanks in advance for any help or advice

K1 VISA

4/18/16: SENT APPLICATION TO LOCKBOX

4/19/16: DELIVERED TO USCIS

4/21/16: NOA 1 TEXT/EMAIL

4/25/16: NOA 1 HARDCOPY IN MAIL

7/07/16: NOA 2 TEXT APPROVAL (77 DAYS)

7/11/16: NOA 2 HARDCOPY IN MAIL

7/14/16: POST DECISION EMAIL

7/27/16: CASE RECEIVED AT NVC

7/28/16: NVC CASE & INVOICE NUMBER

did your appointment confirmation page say it is a K1 visa ?

if yes then it is their mistake and they should give him a date when to come back.

if no then you have to correct your ustraveldocs profile and get another appointment.

what your fiancé did ? since he got inside up to the point to pay the fee they could just tell him when to come back or he ask what to do next.

05/19/2016 -- NOA1 email and text, case routed to California Center (WAC) ==== NOA1 Date 05/18/2016
07/20/2016 -- NOA2 email from USCIS case Status and USCIS App ===== Case approved in 63 Days
08/03/2016 -- NVC Case # and Invoice ID Assigned
08/15/2016 -- Packet 3 Received (email)

09/19/2016 -- Finally the embassy open interview date after long wait ... 35 Days (interview scheduled for Oct 10)

10/05/2016 -- Medical done. but no sealed envelope given.

10/10/2016 -- Interview day 1 ( pay the fee, deliver paperwork, finger printed ... and told to comeback tomorrow to be interviewed by a CO )

10/11/2016 -- Interview day 2 ( AP with g221 for missing medical )

10/19/2016 -- VISA ISSUED

Yes. It was their mistake and they said it was and in the email I got this morning they said we would just need to go thru the site and try for another appointment.

He didn't know what was going on and luckily didn't act crazy in there because he was a little upset at the mistake. We had already waited 2 months for that interview. Now we will have to wait again.

well i think at this point they answer you in the email .. you just have to go and try to get another appointment .. sorry you have to go through this again.

You know the consulate doesn't really care about the wait so to them you get your visa today or 6 months from now it's the same.just take that date and focus on daily life till that appointment date.

could you please supply me with a list or foto of documents sent to you from the embassy to bring to interview? do they request packet 3 or 4?
