What documents besides the forms needed with Packet3

I checked with NVC today and my case has been forwarded to Mumbai consulate and should reach by Monday 20th. Things have been going at a great pace.

I have couple of questions:

1. Any idea how much time it takes for Mumbai consulate to send Packet3?

2. Do we need to send any document besides Form DS230, DS-156, DS-156K with the packet?

It seems like Mumbai is not bad. Check out below site for documents:

I would say it can take up to a month. Your fiance should get visa date within 2 months.

Yes Mumbai consualte is defiantely one of the better ones in India. I had done my consular processing around 5+ years ago and they actually answered phones and emails. I have sent them bunch of questions on Friday evening, let's if they still answer.

It also publishes list of interviews (IV petetions) for current and next month. So April is out. Another thing the web-site mentions I-134 in one place and I-864 in another for Affadavit of support. Anyone any idea which one is really required?

Mumbai required the I134 and one year taxes for me.

Do you remember what needs to be sent to Consulate with Packet3?

Just wanted to update on communications from Mumbai Consulate reagrding Packet3. Hope it helps someone:

Q1. Do I need I-134 or I-864 for evidence of support

A1. Form I-134 should be used.

Q2. I understand that now packet3 will be sent to my fiancee in India. Are any of the documents (like passport, police certificate, birth cert) needed to be sent with it.

A2. No documents should be forwarded to our office. Only the forms and checklist should be returned to us.

Q3. Approximately how many days does it take for the Consulate to send packet3 after receiving the case.

A3. We send out the instruction package (packet 3) as soon as we receive the case.

Q4. What is the approximate wait period after Consulate receives Packet3 from us.

A4. Generally, processing time is 2 - 4 months.
