TB in the past

Hello! I had my chest xray done last 2011, found out I had TB, took medications for 6months. After that, my lungs are clear and normal. I know i should inform SLEC about my history once i have my medical exam. Is it true that even if your lungs are clear (with history of TB) they automatically ask you to do culture and would be delayed for 6weeks? Just want to know if someone has the same experience. Thanks

Oooh, I have no idea honestly. I would think as long as you pass the x-ray and all you would be fine; but I can't say.

Hopefully someone here has gone through your situation before and can give you better information.

It's always best to tell your medical history when they ask for it. There is a high probability that they will ask you to have the sputum examination done once they find out that you have a history of TB. If you don't tell them and they find something in your xray, you will still have to undergo the examination anyway. I suggest you get your medical done early.

When do you think I can have my medical done? We just submitted the DS-260 packet last week. And yes i want it done as early as possible to avoid delays.
