Santa Clara, Gonzaga, Cagayan Valley. . .Wife would like to visit her & get her set up with someone to help assist her with household chores, cooking & shopping & keeping an eye out for her. . .She has her own house with utilities. . .So a couple of questions. . . How long can my wife be in the PI before it becomes an issue with USCBP / Immigration - 3 months? 6 months? 1 year?? Any ideas as how she can get the attention her Mom needs while her Mom stays at home???? Where / How to hire good help?? . .Thank You in Advance!!!!!!!!

Being out of the USA for 6 months no issue. If you plan to be gone a year or more you will need to apply for a reentry permit, form I-131

That is incorrect

As a general rule , once you exceed the 6 months rule then you open your self up to questions on your return.

I would suggest staying less than 6 months

You're contradicting yourself. Sagot provided the correct answer and you confirm all but his link.

Yes she can stay out for less then 6 months with no entry problems but if longer she sits herself up for problems with immigration.

Sagot identifies if she absolutely needs to stay longer the she should avail herself to the re-entry waiver. All is outlined in the link.

Read the link I provided from USCIS... what I state is not opinion (like with you) but the actual rules from USCIS!!

Give me a link from USCIS that confirms YOUR OPINION.

Don't have any suggestion for a housekeeper, I would think it would be easy to find someone from within the parish.

My mother-in-law needs a live-in helper. She finds helpers by word of mouth through family, friends, or church. Generally, she pays a helper Php3000-4000 per month plus room and board. She's had helpers who lasted ten years and other ones who lasted ten weeks.
