Guys, HELP! The "do not open" envelope the embassy mails you, that you give customs at POE (LAX for us)came in the mail ripped up. Is he okay to come in like that? There's no way he could remove and replace documents without completely ripping it up. He leaves tomorrow. :/ I am trying to attach the photo but the file is too big. :/ Thanks for any advice!

He needs to contact the Embassy about this. They will most likely not accept this at the POE.

It won't be accepted at PoE.

He needs to contact the embassy and make arrangements for the packet to be re-sealed, and delay his departure.

The embassy responded and took care of it fast! Thanks everyone.

I'm curious to know how they resolved this. Did you have to travel back to the embassy for them to re-seal it? Did they mail a new sealed envelope to you?

Surprisingly fast and straightforward since initially it took a day to respond.

Holy cow, that's quick service! I'm sure not all embassies offer that kind of turnaround.
