How long are they looking at these days from time of application for citizenship to actually becoming a citizen? My turn to apply comes May 2008.

John~~~Ontario, Canada*********Ruth~~~Ohio, U.S.A

The never-ending story of the visajourney of this Canadian/American couple can be found by clicking HERE

AOS was officially approved via email notice from USCIS on August 10th/2005, 622 days from the filing of the I-130 in Nebraska on November 26/2003, the very first day that we started our immigration journey.

Received 10 year green card on August 15/2005.

Our thanks to the creators of visajourney and all those here who helped us along the way..May God bless you and strengthen you on your visajourney....and now life goes on.

(Jeremiah 29:11-13)" For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD , "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

Thanks for posting this info. I sent my wifes N-400 on June 24th. Was hoping the interview would be quicker than what you have posted. We are filing via the Calif SC.

You're welcome. You should also check to see who is going through the process in Las Vegas because from what I understand every office is different as far as timing goes. My sister is going through Denver, Colorado.

I sent my N-400 on June 27th. They cashed check already on July 3rd.

If somebody would believe USCIS processing times (for your office Denver, CO) then your interview would not be in August...but anyway great, pretty fast process.

Yes,Denver seems to be working fast ,it took 5 month for me to get Naturalized.

You guys almost there!

Interview and then the Oath Ceremony letter. It might take 1 month to receive an Oath Ceremony letter invitation after the interview,so don't be surprised, its normal.

Best wishes (F)

I believe Denver has 2 ceremonies per year, one being in the spring and the other one in the fall. I had mine years ago in October so I'm thinking that's when my sister will have hers.

I mailed the N-400 on 6-22-07, they received it on 6-26-07 and cashed the check on 7-6-07. No NOA yet.

I have seen on the TV and read a few articles as to how backed up they are. Especially here in the Southwest...as you know, fees are going up the end of this month, so more people are applying trying to beat this deadline. They said here in Vegas, the number of applications received year to date is already more than all of 2006! Bummer!

I will keep you posted!
