Case complete for October Scan dates

My scan date is October 13th. Any October scan date case completed? This process is taking forever.

I've seen one or two, mostly electronic processing countries. Our scan date is October 4th, so we are at six weeks on Wednesday. Some September scan date folks are getting up into the 8-9 week range now. Certainly getting a bit slow at NVC the past few months.

I really hope that's not the case for me. This process getting really frustrating. We pay our taxes onetime but still they can't hire more workers at NVC.

My doc package was received by the NVC on 18 Oct and was hoping to hear from them soon.

I'd recommend calling the NVC on the same day that it reaches 6 weeks of processing time. That's what I did for mine, the agent then placed it in Supervisor Review and the case was updated within a week of that. Sadly for us, the case was updated with a Request for Evidence, but still... Now we're back in waiting time, it's been 1 week out of the 6 weeks again... Definitely not getting over there for Christmas. :-(

Request for evidence In the NVC stage, how is it?

It sucks. It's essentially if they find you are missing documents as part of your application. For my case, I've lived in 5 different countries, so I had to obtain 5 police certificates (+ translations) - one of them wasn't in the package because it was forgotten. Then one more, but it was in the package so we assume they lost it, and finally a signature that wasn't the original paper but a copy (we thought we had to keep the original).

Bottom line, we lost 6 weeks for stuff that we already had - so we sent it on the same day we received the RFE, but when we called them, they said they'd take 6 weeks to review it all. You'd think that our case was reviewed almost entirely, with these 3 missing... But no. :-(

The RFE blows ###, simply because it's not logical or well organized - your case is missing details, but it's not kept at the top of the pile. It's sort of a punishment I suppose, I don't know; but I'd have hoped that they dealt with cases on a received date basis versus Day received + X weeks. :-(

PS: We're headed to Cary too! We can't wait to get moving finally!

It seems pretty normal right now, they have a higher volume of cases. I was checking the site everyday and calling every other day. Was so happy to see the site updated this morning and called to confirm CC.

We were scanned on Weds Sept 26th and still awaiting. Very frustrating but seems like the latest one is Sept 22nd scan day indicating an additional 4/5 days making it roughly 7.5-8 weeks wait period from scan date. I had also called on the day of week 6 to bring to supervisor review.

Ugh, reading all this makes me wonder when our case will be completed. Scan Date was Oct. 19th (Documents got sent out via Priority Mail from Oregon on the 13th of Oct). Called NVC and the Operator told me 6 weeks. I just checked in with my attorney, she said there is a backlogged as of now and it will take them 8-10 weeks for CC. I was hoping to be with my husband for Christmas but i think i can scratch that form my WishList

Damn, these reports of 8 wks is not going down well.

I'm at 4 weeks now, and really need to get back to the US and start earning an income.

Call them today, I have been reading that on Fridays ( last business day In the week) , they agency can give you the most accurate informations about your case.
