Pence: Trump and I will send Roe v. Wade “to the ash heap of history”

Out of all the campaign promises that Trump made, this is probably the most likely to come to fruition. There's a good chance that abortion rights in the next few years will be up to the states.

Indiana Governor and Republican vice-presidential nominee Mike Pence claimed on Thursday that if he and Donald Trump reach the White House, “We’ll see Roe vs. Wade consigned to the ash heap of history where it belongs.”

“I’m pro-life and I don’t apologize for it,” the former Congressman said at a town hall event in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He went on to stress that judicial nominees alone were enough to make the 2016 election hugely consequential for the pro-life cause, as those decisions “will impact our Supreme Court for the next forty” years.

“Go tell your neighbors and your friends, for the sake of the rule of law, for the sake of sanctity of life, for the sake of our 2nd Amendment, for the sake of all our other God-given liberties,” Pence urged, “we must ensure the next president appointing justices to the Supreme Court is Donald Trump.”

Pence holds a 100% pro-life record with the National Right to Life Committee and 0% scores with Planned Parenthood and NARAL. His most recent major pro-life action was signing Indiana’s law banning abortions for genetic abnormalities, race, or sex; requiring ultrasounds before abortions and admitting privileges for abortionists; and mandating that aborted babies be either buried or cremated by abortion facilities.

Trump, a former “very pro-choice” individual who changed his position in 2011, is a source of disagreement among pro-lifers as to his reliability in fighting abortion. His position as a presidential candidate is that abortion should be illegal except for rape, incest, or life-of-the-mother cases, and that Roe v. Wade should be overturned. In May, Trump released a list of likely Supreme Court nominees that gained widespread praise from pro-life leaders.

I just hope that the people who are in favor of overturning Roe v Wade don't mind footing the bill for Mother and child (or children), for at least 18 years, cause there will be a huge uptick in welfare and wic payouts.

These unwanted children will be put to work in the child labor factories Trump plans to bring back from overseas. The little urchins will be making the finest Trump ties, really just the best.

all jokes aside, overturning roe vs wade and sending it back to the states would have numerous and widespread affects that the right and trump's cabal can't even fathom because they've never considered the host of scenarios in which they will not at all be saving the life of a child but instead inflicting real suffering on women and their families. but whatever, let the states figure it out. how's that drinking water up north?

I hope the states that disagree fight tooth and nail over this should this ever happen.
