You didn't quote anyone so not sure who you disagree with exactly. Assuming you disagree with me;

It's not complacency. It's accepting our country and our "democratic" process. Unless you want to protest and argue that he won illegally, just arguing that he "isn't your president" because you didn't vote for him is wrong. That is not how a democracy works. You don't vote and then only respect the outcome when you voted for it.

As I said, if they want to protest some of things he wants to do, that is perfectly fine as long as it isn't violent. The #notmypresident hashtag though is basically a bunch of people saying that while they love that they live in a democracy, they only like it when they agree with the outcome.

pretty sure there is no governing body that determines what is acceptable protest and what is not. also pretty sure that there are quite a few americans out there protesting because they feel their lives and futures depend on it. i don't think people are saying 'not my president' because they've no respect for the office - quite the opposite. but that's besides the point -considering there has never been a hashtag that was a legitimate protest and until we live in VR - there won't be. unfortunately, kids today haven't figured that out yet.

at this point, with his cabinet selections thus far, there are plenty good enough reasons for minorities, immigrants, and lgbt+ to protest indefinitely. i totally get why by and large white america AND the establishment that trump supporters hate so much..are calling for calm and acceptance. i for one will never let racism become normal in my household, and watching the 'news' this morning i saw a slant that was exactly that. fcs our vice president elect believes in shock therapy conversion, trump's closest advisor the pappy of altright. these are the guys who have been crying for eight years that the white race was dying off and must be saved. well, here we go.

I think so shes always worked very hard and she became a citizen when i turned 18 my brothers a cop just made detective few months back and the other a vet 2 tours in iraq so we love this country

I'll second that thanks to both of them. Serving your country is an honorable thing, anytime. Even more so your cop brother, who I am sure has had a hard time this past year or two. Thanks for him putting his life on the line and listening to all the hate that the ignorant among us spew almost daily, and still answering the call when it comes.
