Hi VJ,s .

I need some information plz. Some one is agree for become my joint sponsor in Cr1 case.he is about 60 ,65 or bit more old.he now took pension cos we worked all his life and pay taxes etc,i dont know yet from how long he took.i would like to know if he gets 20025$ per year or more .can he become my joint sponsor.i think he dont pay taxes cos i was told he don't have to bcoz his amount is not taxable plus he took pension money.so if he can sponsor.what we should do about most recent tax return 2015,which embassy wants to see or what that person need to get from a office somehting about tax to make CO satisfied.and what this man should give documents to me to provide at embassy.cos embassy wants right now (joint sponsor i864 with most recent tax return year 2015 and job letter )

Please tell me .

As long as he legally does not pay taxes on his income )pension, disability etc) then yes, he can be a sponsor.

He will need to write a short paragraph explaining why he was not required to pay taxes. Keep in mind with a joint sponsor they want them to be comfortably over the poverty line for their household.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Thankyou for ur reaply. Please tell what documents we should send with i 864 so CO must b satisfied cos my case will expire in feb .Yes he is above poverty guideline.

Bank statements for the last 12 months or so, showing the money going into his account. If he has some sort of "statement of benefits" that states his monthly retirement benefits, that can help too.
