I have actually stumbled upon a cross burning in my college days in East Texas by the KKK. I also watch them protest the streets of Dallas back in 80's to protest 7-11 selling Playboy and Penthouse magazines which actually worked and they stopped selling them.

About the protests, Trump used his favorite tool Twitter and said UNFAIR like a 12 year old.

Who does that ?
He could have used that opportunity to bring the people together by articulating the need for calm. I don't think

he will say anything about the KKK....except maybe another tweet.
Then they must have taken his Twitter over again with a follow-up which still lacks leadership.

Hope his twitter reactions just stop and he will address people like a leader (elect) should.

I do find it interesting that people can't just denounce a racist group like the KKK without the need to bring something else like BLM into it. Like as if you have to qualify your answer to someone.

It's like "yeah the KKK is bad but ...". There really doesn't have to be a "but" there. The KKK was born of evil, they've been historically terrible and normal people in need of a social group don't join the KKK. They are still white supremacists. They don't just come out of the backwoods, and given the chance they would return to the same horror show they were 100 years ago. I can't imagine a normal person not wanting to completely dissociate themselves from that image.

The North Carolina Republicans managed to denounce the KKK without mentioning Obama or the Black Lives Matter movement, so I know it's something that can be done if you set your mind to it.
