Looking for a Good Lawyer for K1 Visa

Hello everyone,

So I'm currently seeking an experienced lawyer in Morocco who is very familiar with K1 visa cases and who can accompany me (Beneficiary) through the entire process.

I've read that it's possible to go all the way without the help of an attorney, but my case is a little bit complicated so I'd need some extra help and I also can't risk messing my application up and end up losing time, money and resources (re-filing, redoing certificates, needing to get married in Morocco instead...etc).

Any lawyer recommendations?

Considering how much trouble Morocco has been with denying K-1 Visa applications, especially if the Morocco citizen is male, I would consider getting married and go for a CR-1. You may still need a lawyer if your case is that complicated. Also, many face time trips and involving family seems to be required for approval.

Never heard of there being a US Immigration Lawyer in Morocco.

If you share your "complications", you may find that it isn't that complicated after all and save yourself thousands of dollars. It's worth a shot!

04/19/2014- Met online
10/2014- Visited Nigeria and he proposed!!!! 
02/28/2015- Sent I-129F petition
03/05/2015- NOA1
09/2015- Visited Nigeria again!!!
10/28/2015- NOA2 (237 day wait at TSC)
11/13/2015- Sent to NVC
11/27/2015- Arrived at Embassy
06/2016- Third visit to Nigeria!
06/15/2016- Interview, given option to file I-601 waiver.
08/16/2016- Waiver submitted (no lawyer).
11/21/2016- Waiver approved with expedite.
01/2017- Embassy requested interview. 
04/2017- Fourth visit to Nigeria.  K1 officially denied. 
04/25/2017- NOA1 for 2nd K1.
07/27/2017- Case transferred to TSC.
11/17/2017- Case transferred back to CSC.
01/16/2018- NOA2!! (266 day wait)
03/08/2018- Interview (AP)
05/03/2018- VISA APPROVAL!!!
05/14/2018- Visa issued
05/18/2018- Visa picked up
05/25/2018- HE'S HOME!!! 💙💙💙

I'm a female beneficiary. And the reason why our case is a little complicated is the nature of my job.

I called a few lawyers on the list that the US Embassy in Casablanca provides on its websites and I might be onto something. Not keeping my hopes high but we'll see...Otherwise we'll just do it ourselves with the precious help of my fellow members here.

I don't see why your job would make things complicated? Maybe we could help you out but you'd have to give more info than that. This is usually a fairly easy DIY process.

I don't think an immigration lawyer is needed for that. With the K1 visa, you'll be leaving your job to live in the US so there shouldn't be an extended leave, you would just resign. The information about your job specifics would not be given to you by an immigration lawyer...

Yesterday I found out from my employer that the procedures for leaving are not as complicated as I thought they would be. It's such a relief for me!

Yup, I noticed that too when I was looking at Morocco's K1 petitions. We have the same dates for almost every step of the petition so far :D
