I hope he didn't forego the number 2. I apologize, but this was great. Although I don't agree with this guys politics, he certainly hit the nail on the head as to why Hillary lost doing is in the British style with a lot of f and s bombs.

I also read this piece from Mike Rowe. It contains many similar points and of course is done in his own style. Suffice it to say, it is the left and their penchant to exclude everyone who doesn't agree with them that drove the Trump victory. Maybe that is something that will change in the future.

Mike Rowe not only gives a liberal disturbed about the election results some words of wisdom, he explains how he knew Donald Trump could become President from his time on the hit show Dirty Jobs.

The unconventional TV star wrote the post on his Facebook wall.

A reader named Carol:

Hey Mike. Youve been very quiet. Everything OK? I just wanted you to know that I voted for you. I was also hoping you might explain what the hell happened on Tuesday, and say something to make me feel better about my fellow man. Thanks,

Carol Savoy

Hi Carol

Last Friday, my dog posted a video that featured a man licking a cat with the aid of a device thats designed for the specific purpose of making it easier for people to lick their cats.Ive been silent ever since, because frankly, I couldnt think of a better way metaphorical or otherwise - to express my feelings about this election cycle. The entire country it seems, has been preoccupied with finding a way to lick a cat without actually putting their tongue on it.

Too oblique? Too weird? Ok, how about this analysis:

Back in 2003, a very unusual TV pilot called Dirty Jobs, Forrest-Gumped its way onto The Discovery Channel and found an audience a big one. For Discovery, this was a problem. You see, Dirty Jobs didnt look like anything else on their channel. It wasnt pretty or careful. It took place in sewers and septic tanks, and featured a subversive host in close contact with his 8-year old inner child who refused to do second takes. Everyone agreed that Dirty Jobs was totally off-brand and completely inappropriate for Discovery. Everyone but the viewers. The ratings were just too big to ignore, so the pilot got a green-light, and yours truly finally got a steady gig.

Then he explains why he wasn't as surprised about the election of Donald Trump.

But here's the thing - Dirty Jobs didnt resonate because the host was incredibly charming. It wasnt a hit because it was gross, or irreverent, or funny, or silly, or smart, or terribly clever. Dirty Jobs succeeded because it was authentic. It spoke directly and candidly to a big chunk of the country that non-fiction networks had been completely ignoring. In a very simple way, Dirty Jobs said Hey - we can see you, to millions of regular people who had started to feel invisible. Ultimately, thats why Dirty Jobs ran for eight seasons. And today, thats also why Donald Trump is the President of the United States.

Then, Rowe comforted Carol with even more personal insight, and corrects some distortions from the media:

I know people are freaked out, Carol. I get it. Im worried too. But not because of who we elected. We've survived 44 Presidents, and we'll survive this one too. Im worried because millions of people now seem to believe that Trump supporters are racist, xenophobic, and uneducated misogynists. I'm worried because despising our candidates publicly is very different than despising the people who vote for them.

Last week, three old friends people Ive known for years - each requested to be unfriended by anyone who planned on voting for Trump. Honestly, that was disheartening. Who tosses away a friendship over an election? Are my friends turning into those mind-numbingly arrogant celebrities who threaten to move to another country if their candidate doesnt win? Are my friends now convinced that people theyve known for years who happen to disagree with them politically are not merely mistaken but evil, and no longer worthy of their friendship?

For what its worth, Carol, I dont think Donald Trump won by tapping into Americas racist underbelly, and I dont think Hillary lost because shes a woman. I think a majority of people who voted in this election did so in spite of their many misgivings about the character of both candidates. Thats why its very dangerous to argue that Clinton supporters condone lying under oath and obstructing justice. Just as its equally dangerous to suggest a Trump supporter condones gross generalizations about foreigners and women.

Rowe acknowledges that while Trump ultimately became president, not everyone's happy about it:

These two candidates were the choices we gave ourselves, and each came with a heaping helping of vulgarity and impropriety. Yeah, it was dirty job for sure, but the winner was NOT decided by a racist and craven nation it was decided by millions of disgusted Americans desperate for real change. The people did not want a politician. The people wanted to be seen. Donald Trump convinced those people that he could see them. Hillary Clinton did not.

The television personality leaves with a challenge for Trump, which is just like the one he had for Obamaand a few words about... cats.

As for me, Im flattered by your support, but grateful that your vote was not enough to push me over the top. However, when the dust settles, and The White House gets a new tenant, Ill make the same offer to President Trump that I did to President Obama to assist as best I can in any attempt to reinvigorate the skilled trades, and shine a light on millions of good jobs that no one seems excited about pursuing. http://bit.ly/2fG1SxI

Like those 3 million shovel ready jobs we heard so much about eight years ago, the kind of recovery that Donald Trump is promising will require a workforce thats properly trained and sufficiently enthused about the opportunities at hand. At the moment, we do not have that work force in place. What we do have, are tens of millions of capable people who have simply stopped looking for work, and millions of available jobs that no one aspires to do. That's the skills gap, and it's gotta close. If mikeroweWORKS can help, we're standing by.

If not, I suppose we'll just have to find another way to lick the cat.

Mike

He is correct, Excellent Video. He basically said Hillary was a POS choice, the democrats were snowflakes and idiots for supporting her and instead of talking about issues they acted llike babies and if you opposed Hillary you were a racist.

Interesting cat I enjoyed his video

I liked the video, but there is more to it than that. Republicans and their dog whistles helped create Trump as well. Trump didn't know that we wasn't supposed to say allowed, what the party used to emply during elections and when ever it suited their interests. It's called plausible deniability. It helped keep two sides of the Republican party on side. I believe that time will show the Donald as a complete charlatan, and Democrats just need to rebuild be ready for when that happens. The end of namby pamby liberalism is at hand, but make no mistake. This is ultimately a good thing.

I think the entire thing is a wake up call for both parties, the guy in the video was obviously left and therefore wanted to call out what a lot of people on his side were scared to say, just as he said that he feels he wouldn't be able to speak that openly with some of his friends. The Repubs might be cheering now but there are a still a fair amount of them who public denounced Trump before his win, with some even openly supporting Hillary. That's gotta be awkward now. I think a lot of people on both sides are still kind of in a shock about the whole thing...we'll see how everything starts unfolding once the reality sets in come January.

I am one person who voted for Trump in NC so I am glad he got my vote and state. The main thing that drove me to him is Hillary's trustworthiness in having to do with a government/military secrets and clearances overall. I have actually had a clearance before so I understand what it means to have one. I also understand that what she did was wrong in every sense of the word. There have been people that have been tried and convicted for doing less than she has done, so for her to come away scott free is atrocious.

I honestly think the best thing we need to do now is to move on from the email issue, I say this because she got the worst punishment in her mind which was being defeated by President-Elect Trump.

You are the very essence of the reason Hillary did not get elected. She lost the confidence of the democrat voters, as evidenced by the more than 10 million who didn't even vote this election. Trump didn't win so much as she lost. Those who have held a security clearance get it.

Thank You for your support of Trump. For me I was watching the results closely, it seemed once Trump was awarded Florida and then North Carolina was awarded to Trump that is when the whole election turned. Game Changer

Agree 100%. Its obvious she has broken the law and also sold influence from her State Dept role. The best thing that could happen is for Obama to pardon her on the way out the door, and let her fade into History with the Bushs, Mitt Romeny and the rest of the crowd that has been dragging out country down. That way it will not be a distraction from the Trump platform

Most likely thing to happen (unless something else comes up, and I don't think they'll be looking that hard). People always think this will happen to politicians on the way out. I recall the call's for Richard Cheney's head. People forget they're all sailing in the same boat. They aren't going to go out of their way to rock it, lest they be the next one to fall.

ETA: I forgot Mr Cheney's first name is a bad word. Darn censor.

I've heard this mentioned a lot. Can he pardon someone that hasn't been actually charged with a crime?
